Tras casi 3 años de trabajo con la revista, el equipo de macula fanzine se tomara un descanso para, entre otras cosas, reorganizar y renovar el proyecto. No se lanzaran nuevos números hasta mediados del año. Sin embargo la nueva convocatoria para esa edición esta desde ya abierta, invitándolos a participar con nuestro tema de “Renovar”.

Quisiéramos también que fueran parte de nuestra celebración de cumpleaños para la cual queremos hacer un video. Envía tus imágenes sobre el número tres antes del 12 de abril para celebrar nuestro tercer año de publicación!

After almost 3 years of work on the magazine, macula’s staff will take a break in order to review and renew the project. There won’t be any new issues until mid-year. However, the new open call is already out and you can participate with your works about “To renew”.

Desde tiempos inmemoriales la humanidad ha tenido constantemente el sueño de volar. Muchas historias antiguas relatan la búsqueda de permanecer en el aire y desplazarse desafiando la gravedad.

Esta edición la dedicamos al tema volando, porque es un concepto con muchas connotaciones relacionadas a la creación artística. No sólo es un hecho físico sino también mental, que altera en ambos casos la percepción que tenemos hacia las cosas, los espacios y a nosotros mismos.

Gracias de nuevo a nuestros colaboradores, a nuestros lectores, a los seguidores de este fanzine, sin ustedes no habrían páginas que nos dieran alas para seguir adelante.

Since primitive times humanity has constantly had the dream of flight. Many ancient stories speak of the search to stay airborne and move while defying gravity.

We dedicate this edition to the theme of “Flight”, because it is a concept with many connotations related to artistic creation. It’s not only a physical fact, but also mental, which alters in both cases the perception we have about things, spaces and ourselves.

Thanks again to our collaborators, our readers and the followers of this fanzine; without you, we wouldn’t have the pages that conform the wings we need to fly forward.

Macula finalmente es eso, una colección de las creaciones que nos comparten: imágenes, sonidos y vídeos que se reúnen en cada tema que proponemos en este fanzine.

No hay muchos conceptos tan subjetivamente poderosos y extensivos como aquel que nos gusta llamar “Amor”. Los hay de tipos fraternales, sexuales, espirituales, materiales, egocéntricos, constructivos y destructivos.

Por la gran variedad interpretativa que dicho concepto puede llegar a inspirar entre nuestros participantes es que seleccionamos este tema para la presente edición.

Deseamos descubrir de qué manera nuestros colaboradores toman este concepto,  tan elemental y sencillo a simple vista, para transformarlo en las expresiones que ocupan las paginas de esta nueva edición.

Pedimos disculpas por la demora en la publicación del presente número, y esperamos que dicha inconveniencia sea en el futuro mejoramiento de nuestra publicación.

There aren’t much concepts as subjectively powerful and extensives as the one that we call “Love”. It can be fraternal, sexual, spiritual, material, self-centered, contructive and even destructive.

It is because of the wide range of interpretations that this concept could inspire amongst our participants that we have choosen this subject for this new edition.

We want to discover on which ways our collaborators use this concept, so simple and basic to the naked eye, to transform it into the expressions that fill the pages that you are about to read.

We apologize again for the delay on the release of this issue, and we hope that this inconvenient result into an improvement on the fanzine.

Hello, Mácula’s friends!

First we would like to apologize for our absence during the past few weeks. For several reasons beyond our control we had to move the release date of this month’s issue. The upcoming issue “love” will be released on July; we will let you know shortly the exact date. Also, we want to invite you to participate on our open call for this edition if you haven’t already, which will remain open until the 30th of June.
